Background
Rachel Bassini founded Grow Sharp Consulting in Berlin in 2016 with the objective of bringing her experience of running the operations and strategy of a rapidly growing New York startup to the vibrant Berlin startup scene.
Previously, she had joined NewsCred (later renamed Welcome and acquired by Optimizely) when it was a few people at a desk in a co-working space; over the next 5 years, the company's business model, product, and market evolved drastically, and the team grew to 200+ people across multiple global offices as it became the world's leading content marketing software company.
Ensuring that systems, workflows, and processes across functional areas could keep up with such rapid transformation was a constant challenge. Equipping decision-makers and product developers with accurate, rich, live data and insightful analyses was critical to timely, thoughtful decision-making. Converting such decisions into successful implementation of changes to the marketing-sales funnel, the product, or the org design kept the company hitting or exceeding revenue targets amid a changing landscape.
